This hands-on role requires compliance with OSHA, NEC, and Satokie safety protocols in an industrial data center/mining environment. Majority of work is on-site with up to 50% travel to support other sites; weekends, nights, and on-call work may be required as part of regular duties.

What you'll do

  • Lead installation, wiring, and termination of panels, switchgear, conduit, cable trays, breakers, PDUs, transformers, and UPS systems in a large-scale mining environment.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, single-line diagrams, and specifications with minimal supervision.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults and equipment failures to minimize downtime and maximize facility uptime.
  • Safely perform and oversee lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures when working on or near energized equipment.
  • Direct, mentor, and provide daily guidance to Electrical Apprentices on site.
  • Lead daily job hazard analyses (JHAs) and safety briefings, and enforce PPE and safety culture expectations.
  • Coordinate with the Site Operations Manager and project team to meet installation milestones and production targets.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and any issues or deviations, and communicate proactively with project leadership.
  • Care for company tools, equipment, and materials, ensuring proper organization and housekeeping on site.

What you bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid state Journeyman Electrician license (Texas strongly preferred or ability to obtain via reciprocity).
  • At least 4 years of hands-on electrical installation and maintenance experience in industrial, commercial, or data center environments.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and single-line diagrams.
  • Thorough knowledge of NEC, OSHA electrical standards, and LOTO procedures.
  • Ability to work independently, make sound decisions under pressure, and thrive in fast-paced industrial settings.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience directing apprentice-level personnel.
  • Regular physical effort including lifting over 50 pounds, extended standing, kneeling, and work in confined, elevated, or energized environments.

Nice to have

  • Experience in data centers, Bitcoin mining, or large-scale power distribution environments.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • Experience with transformers, medium-voltage systems, or generator hookups.
  • Familiarity with SCADA, BMS, or facility monitoring systems.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and coordination skills with high attention to detail.
